August was a very busy month for me, so I felt I needed to reward my efforts. So what else would I do but DRAW and PAINT! Empire Comics in Sacramento offers a costumed model drawing session every last Tuesday of the month. I have done the last 4 months, and I'm hooked!
A beautiful night, a beautiful couple, a wonderful event with family and friends.
Live blessed! Simply said, but better when done.
So what are you doing this weekend? I'll be taking a front row seat to another convention scene, this one being the Stockton-Con in Stockton, California. People in costume, comic books, movies, cartoons, and other forms of fun media will be on display. I call these event my personal Disneyland.
I am always honored to be part of a special event. Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries... Every party is different, and I enjoy each opportunity to draw a new group. Many times I draw a large number of kids, but every so often I get a chance to draw only adults.
Suicide Squad and drawing. I live a pretty good life. But even more amazing was meeting Rambo, a 19 month old, 175 pound wolf-dog hybrid. I am always up for the challenge for drawing anything, but this guy was one I will remember. He was very shy, almost as though he knew he was in the spotlight. Like any 2 year old, he wiggled and was distracted by the crowd that formed around. He is quite the ladies man, getting many females to stop and pet him. The drawing didn't do him justice!
