October was a pretty good run, not counting the SF Giants loss to the Cubs. I've had an opportunity to do a few live engagements with my favorite subjects, Man's Best Friend. This is my second year working with Green Valley Pets of El Dorado Hills at Dogtober. Thanks to the staff for helping me keep the crowds lively on a warm day in the shade.

It was a busy weekend, but never too busy to draw a few of our best friends. I love supporting organizations that advocate on behalf of our four legged buddies. Canine for Companions out of Santa Rosa, is a leader in training dogs to assist and improve the lives of the two legged types. This is my second event of the year working with them. I am proud to have donated partial proceeds in support.
Ugh! I forgot the couple's best bud!I was so excited to see the ring brought down the aisle by Wyatt and Shelby's pup, but I wish I could have had a picture pre-drawn for the family. No worries, I drew on site (but then I failed to take a picture of the drawing.)
I enjoy driving out to events, especially through the Gold Country of California. What a perfect backdrop for any gathering, especially that special day. I love the story of Chris and Gina, best friends who have grew into an amazing couple.
I'm back in the swing of things here in Sacramento. I've been swamped with engagements for the last few weeks, and so to relax I enjoy an evening out under the stars. The weather is cooling down, so I expect to draw more sweatshirts and beanies. But this month is also the release period for more horror and drama films, so I expect to see more couples too.
