The holiday season was a busy time for shopping, decorating, and caricature. Well, maybe only in my house. So, on more than one day, I worked multiple events. BayVista and Creekside Housing Community hired me to provide Christmas cheer through cartoons. I'm sure the kids would rather have a Playstation VR, but my caricatures will have to do.
I really am grateful that the staff at BayVista and Creekside wanted caricatures to be part of their event for consecutive years. They explained to me that last year's artist had a line out the door, and many people were turned away. To alleviate that issue this year, I color coded tickets by the hour. This way only 15 faces could be guaranteed per hour, with some hours having a few more. Those families could get a color that matched their time of events, and allowed them to enjoy the festivities. The kids and families respected the order, and the night went smoothly. Thank you to the staff for the karaoke, the food, and the cheer. I will look forward to coming back next year.
