After a day of much needed rain, it's okay to ask for a break so locals from the Sacramento area can enjoy the outdoors, numerous culinary takes on the classic grilled cheese, and caricatures. This was the first of what should be an annual event, the Sacramento Grilled Cheese Festival. And as families, couples, and friends chose to take some time from the busy schedule of sandwich lines to get a funny drawing by me. April 9, 2017 XOSO did an amazing job of bringing all this together, and I'm grateful that they invited me to participate. I also found that the guests that sat with me walked away with a new appreciation for caricature art. Many were laughing, posting, but the best compliment of all was saying that they can't wait to get my caricature art framed and up on the wall in their home. I hope they tag and share with me.
