JAG Sketchbook

I began my first online class through skill share began today. Already I see so much talent, I am excited to size myself against such a variety of artists. I thought I should keep posting life drawing pictures to encourage my rebirth as an artist. These drawings came from my later days at SFSU. I still think these drawings are solid and would still find a way into any portfolio I would share. I really came into my own using sharpies to sketch in life drawing sessions.

In fact, this model was for me one of the best sessions I've ever had. At first I remember being intimidated because most models were small athletic types. I could see the anatomy and identify the breakdown points. I guess without these guides I really just drew from what I saw. A breakthrough thought. Trust the skills.

I look forward to finding that next breakthrough!
