Beauty last forever. Some would say that drawing faces is difficult. Some would follow that with a statement for drawing those blessed to make it to their Golden Years to be the most challenging of all. Yet for me, drawing those folks who have seen a lifetime is an honor. I get a chance to capture the best of each person hidden by Father Time.
Celebrating MaryAnne's 80th at the Carlton in Elk Grove was a pleasure. Her children planned a surprise event. The room was wonderfully covered in shades of purple, her favorite color. Family and friends were welcomed by my Keepsake Caricture, and a montage of photos showcasing a life well lived. Thank you to Judy for organizing the efforts, and giving me this opportunity. Because I moved around the room to capture the guest images in their chairs, I don't have many images to share. I hope you can trust me when I say that I was complimented with smiles, and tipped with stories of how wonderful the adventures of life are from the mouths of those who have lived it.
