My first realization that they could live together in the same universe was when I saw that Homer had a cold one at Mo's. So Sacramento, thank you for bringing caricature art together with beer. Now there were other art forms represented, but I will always be prejudice to cartoons and frothy adult beverages. The Art of Beer, Sacramento was very generous to invite me to participate in this year's event. I am firmly settling into the Capitol experience, and events like this only confirm my decision to leave SoCal. The people I drew as caricatures were the most generous with the artistic commentary, but also in their social graces. On multiple occasions, guests went out of their way to refill my glass. Never forget that artists are people too. I had a line that went past the last call for the night, and even drew a few ladies outside the hall. I hope to make this just one of the many "adult theme park" spots I draw for in 2017, and beyond. (I don't think Buzz Lightyear drinks, so I couldn't find it in my heart to make that last line work.)
