Its the beginning of 2015 and I'm trying to keep up with my resolution to create a video of my work every two weeks. I have all this footage that Ive created over the last year, and I thought it would be a great format to showcase some of the favorite pieces.
Well, I know I will probably miss a comic convention or two this year, but I look forward to on the spot commissions. As a fan of the art battle, I really enjoy the idea of fast paced art pieces created in front of an audience. In this video taken during Stockton-Con 2014, I was commissioned by a fan who in every year of the event, has requested an Iron Fist piece.
When put on the spot, I like to fall back on some of my favorite comic book designs. The previous year I stole from Mike Zeck, so I thought I'd continue the Wolverine rip by going to my favorite Todd McFarlane cover.
Do you see the inspiration? What do you think?
